The markets opened gap down after the weekend news of hike in reverse repo rate by the rbi , to add to the news the weak global cues took the nifty below the crucial supports of 5225 levels.
Technically the indices have broken a crucial support level and indicates a sign of weakness on the activity.
However there exists good supports at 5150 levels and major supports at 5100 , so one must not worry much yet.
Only concern in the next 48 hours is the pending f/o expiry which will keep the markets highly volatile , choppy and undecisive , so one must concentrate on stock specific activities , as nifty will not provide much opportunity to trade.
From a trading point of view , one must buy dips and sell rallies and be quick in reverting the position.
The supports for the nifty is at 5175 levels and resistance at 5250 levels.
The supports for the sensex is at 17100 levels and resistance at 17700 levels.
