these are known to create excessive volatility in stock markets. Take for
example the case of 2009 general elections. The verdict came out on 18th May 2009 . And
within seconds indices hit upper circuit. The benchmark BSE-Sensex opened with a gain of 11% and trading had to be halted.
When trading resumed again, the Sensex shot up another 17%. Subsequently,
