We were continuously saying about the logical targets of 5300 on nifty front and that got achieved like a dot from where the markets reacted but managed to stay above 5250 levels.
Now we head into an f/o expiry week , where volatility and choppiness will be the order of the week , also we stand at a crucial levels on indices front.
The indices have retraced 58.7% from the recent fall to 4800 in no time , but the steep correction the stocks witnessed has not managed to recover and are still at lows which is always a disturbing factor for a trader and investor , where the index makes new highs but the individual portfolio sees a decline.
However coming to the levels if the nifty manages a close above 5300 and surpasses 5330 with volumes , then it opens gates for 5425 levels , however it wont be easy without huge hiccups and volatility.
On the lower side strong supports exists around 5150 levels for any downfalls , so probably the index now looks in a range with individual stock movements.
The basic view is that movement of indices doesn’t decides ones gains and loss in a portfolio seeing and viewing the current scenario, so one must pick good stocks and have faith in them rather than viewing index and panicing.
Anyhow a index trader has to view nifty , sensex , bank nifty wherever he /she trades.
The supports for the nifty is at 5240 levels and resistance at 5320 levels.
The supports for the sensex is at 17400 levels and resistance at 18200 levels.
